I just took the time to make a really good post with pictures. Then it didn't save it and it went off the page!!!! I had even spell checked. Ugh. I was so proud about posting, I just had to post something.
Really disappointing, Blogger. Really disappointing.

What...I have a blog?
Oh my goodness, how I have let this go! I could tell you I have been swamped with my job and getting used to this new life and that would be sort of true. But truly...I have been looking at Pinterest and reading other people's way more inspiring blogs.
Speaking of those other way more inspiring blogs, Beth Moore (my favorite bible study teacher) encouraged people to describe three words that summed up 2011 and describe. I did and here they are.
ABUNDANT
2011 made me the bride to the most honest, sweetest and worthy man I know. God also answered every prayer and concern I had about the details of getting married and moving. Each new worry I could possibly think of was taken care of. It confirmed to me the fact that at this time, I am right where I'm supposed to be. Because I'm the worlds most indecisive person, I need that.
CHANGE
This year I have moved, gotten married, sent my BFF to a developing country, changed churches, changed careers, became a make-up salesman and now live without cable and cell phone service. Geez....what a whirlwind! I know that the Lord is using this to grow my faith in him. It's working.
HEART-STIRRING
Abundance and change were obvious this year, but I really had to think of the right word for this one. Heart-stirring is the right word. My new job, school social work has absolutely broken my heart. I have cried way more than once over a child's situation. The Lord has absolutely broken me for what breaks his heart. People need him in the worst way. This eye-opening experience has made me think about what I really need to be doing with my life and what I CAN do to serve people, instead of just crying about their situation. Maybe 2012 will provide me with a lot more clarity on that calling.
I also have to mention our new church, Pleasant Union. Oh my, how I love it. It is so refreshing. God's moving there in a big way and I can feel that something bigger is coming. I am praying, worshiping and expecting God to move in a new way and it's incredible. If you are ever in Deer Lick, Kentucky, you should visit. You'll love it.
So, 2012....you have big shoes to fill. 2011 will go down as an epic year in my life. I'm starting the new year with the same resolutions as usual, but adding a few more. I hope that I end this year wearing a smaller pants size, running a 5K, playing guitar and singing more like Loretta or Miranda, loving my husband more than I already do, being closer to my God and knowing that I have made a difference.
Happy New Year, y'all.
